Agree with Scott about THE FUNERAL and THE ADDICTION, both great and good films respectively.

Ferrara and Pasolini are made for each other. They finally put out a big, thick book of Pasolini's poetry recently via one of the prestigious university presses and its really good stuff if you like poetry. Most of the translations into English up til now were clumsy and heavy on political sloganeering. Here you can see why he's considered a poet first in Italy, instead of a filmmaker.

Saw this tonight. It was..... ok. It just felt like it didn't entratain me enough to be thought of entertainment, and didn't educate me any on Pasolini (as it was a work of fiction) to get a pass there either. And it was not visual or experimental enough for me to consider it art... so I am still unsure what exactly is the point of this film.... but wtf. I was not bored or anything. So I'll give it a passing grade.
