He had world-wide impact with that MONDO CANE score. ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER and DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING are fantastic...so is DAY OF ANGER. Got a little thrill when "Oh My Love" from GOODBYE UNCLE TOM turned up in DRIVE.

RIP sir, you were a giant.

Awesome composer and my second favorite next to Morricone. Created some iconic sounds.

Fuck... Amazing composer. On par with Morricone easily. What would Cannibal Holocaust be like without Ortolani's score?

A fantastic composer whose work is indelibly burned into the minds of so many film fans. The fact that he won a Grammy for the theme song to a mondo movie is so wonderfully, gloriously subversive. I was listening to one of my late grandfather's favourite albums a few years ago and realised that there was a cover of "More" on it. It's great just how lasting and influential his work has been over the years.

            RIP

I loved his scoring of CASTLE OF BLOOD and many, many others. RIP.
