The first, of what will hopefully be a recurring Five Points Festival kicked off yesterday at Pier 36 on the Lower East Side riverfront of New York City. This weekend saw the second installment of ReedPOP's Special Edition NYC. For those not in the know, this is basically a comic show getting back to its roots. Convention Report: Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo
Last weekend my wife and I attended the Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo (or SaskExpo) in the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Saskatoon is a small Canadian city of around 260,000 people located in central Saskatchewan, and is a 3 hour drive from Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan, where I live. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that comic book conventions were exactly that - a bunch of people getting together to buy, sell, trade, discuss and celebrate the art form with liked minded individuals and fans.
