Yeah, after watching episode 4 D'Onofrio is definitely nailing it. The whole date scene was awesome in how awkward and weird it was and then the finale with the Russian guy underneath the Queensboro bridg? Ouch. They're not skimping on the violence in this series.

I don't get it... I watched the first episode. It had a few things going for it but the central concept of Daredevil is eluding me. He's blind but he fights bad guys with some top quality chop sockey. If his heightened senses are giving him the awareness of every punch that they''re throwing through some sort of like bat radar thing then surely he doesn't count as blind in the regular world. So why's he wandering round with a cane? Surely not just for the sympathy sex... 'Cause that makes him a pretty poor sort of guy. In fact I have a lot of extreme left friends who would say that makes him a rapist.

But... I mean... is there an explanation or are you just supposed to not think about it at all?

Daredevil has "radar sense" so he can see while being blind. I still need to watch this series.

Of course...and also a cunning cover story so no one will suspect he is Daredevil...but yeah..he is kinda using it in dubious ways

I cant remember his actual origin story at all....

Yeah he downplayed the whole radioactive waste gave Matt his powers thing. I do like how Eastman and Laird had the waste that hit Matt going down into the sewers and creating the TMNT.

He's in a city of 8 million. That's a lot of natural anonymity. Surely faking blindness is just drawing attention to himself... And if it's as a cover story then why does he wear a mask across his eyes thus letting the villians know they're dealing with a guy with not much use for his eyes? That seems a poor choice.

I would guess its the Clark / Superman hiding in plain sight gag they reused

Dont forget the double whammy in that he is ALSO the lawyer who prosecutes the bad guys..and STILL no one outs two and two together....

I always wondered about this too.

At least once he gets out of the black suit and into his trademark red duds, he had the common sense to have eye slit things.

But yeah, when he's zipping about in the black outfit with that thing wrapped around his eyes, it is kind of dumb.

Having said that, I go into any and every superhero yarn with a whole lot of understanding that realism will frequently get tossed out the window.

I'm five episodes in and still really enjoying this. D'Onofrio is great so far, you guys were right.
