This just feels very very wrong. And very very "moneygrab".

I couldn't agree less. Feels just about right given the time-frame from the original series. Personally can't wait till this starts up again.

By all accounts, Michael J. Anderson won't be appearing in this new series. Apparently, he's alienated the a number of the cast members, and feels that since it would lack the shock of his original appearance, there's no point in bringing him back....but he was okay to voice the character in a Scooby Doo cartoon. I'd recommend you check out his facebook page, but unless you really don't like Israel, it's a bit of a minefield.

Lynch isn't going to talk about Twin Peaks until 2016.

He does confirm however that the new episodes will be shot on film.

It does surprise me somewhat given how vocal Lynch has been about digital ever since Inland Empire (2006). Still, Lynch "falling in love with film" (the medium that is, still no sign of a new feature) again can only be a good thing.
