Superfriends was the source of one of the cutest things my daughter ever did as a kid, when she was 4.

We used to watch the Bruce Timm Justice League cartoon every Saturday morning if I had the day off. One week, I had a Tuesday off, and we were eating lunch and watching the Retro block on TeleToon that used to run in the middle of the day. Super-Friends was on, and she was looking at the TV, puzzled by what she saw. She turned to me and said "Dad, this Justice League kinda sucks". I replied "This is Super-Friends, it was the Justice League cartoon that was on when I was your age." She heaved a heartbroken sigh, walked over to me and gave me a big hug, and said "I feel so sorry for you!"

Better than both of my two sons letting me know how much most of the cartoons of my era sucked.

Oldest has METV Toons. Told me they were DVRing the late night weekend 80s block of cartoons.

"Ghostbusters is cool. That MR T cartoon though. How did yall watch it." Here I am watching it each weekend and loving it more than I did as a kid. And he aint but 17 years younger than me and hates it.

He’s not wrong about the Mr. T cartoon. Sorry, Newt.
