    Coming 5/27/25 from Paramount.

YELLOWSTONE chronicles the Dutton family, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.

YELLOWSTONE is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Executive producers include John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros and Keith Cox. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The three-disc set includes the last six episodes of Season 5, plus 10 featurettes, including three exclusive to Blu-ray with never-before-seen bonus content and interviews, allowing fans to relive moments from YELLOWSTONE past and present, to enjoy stunning imagery of the show from unit photographer Emerson Miller, and to take a tour of Chief Joseph Ranch, the real-life setting for the iconic Dutton family home.

Given these are the most watched shows in the US it's a big pulpit to be ppreaching from.
I do like a lot of what he's done, love a lot of it, but absolutely can't deny what you're saying.

The series finale of Yellowstone was last week and it ended exactly how I imagined it would. I loved every second of this show and will follow the characters in whatever spinoff happens next.

I finally decided to catch up on the other Sheridan shows I was slacking on. Heres some brief thoughts.

Lioness - By far the best show Taylor has written and produced. Wow this just blew me away. Zoe Saldana and the rest of the cast are amazing in this. The closest thing to Sicario that Taylor has done. I just finished season 2 and cannot wait for season 3. Zoe also co-produced this and said her contract is for 3 seasons. I'd watch a thousand episodes of this.

Landman - My favorite of all the Sheridan shows. Billy Bob is eminently watchable and this show is 100 percent his. Feels the closest to Yellowstone as far as tone and story beats.

1883 - A fantastic grim prelude that plays like a romantic poem. Breaks your heart over and over again all the way up until the very end.

1923 - The most fun of all the Sheridan shows. The scenes in Africa steal the show but the plot following Rainwater's grandmother is the real highlight. Season 2 starts in a little over a month. I can't freaking wait!

Lawman: Bass Reeves - This isn't written or directed by Taylor but it's produced by him and has a similar tone and quality of the other shows. The most straightforward Western he's produced so far. David Oyelowo gives a superb performance as the historical inspiration for the Lone Ranger. At just one season it moves fast and left me wanting more. Barry Pepper makes for a despicable villain and Dennis Quaid is equally slippery. Donald Sutherland shows up in what I think is his final role before passing away. Fantastic show worth watching.

I watched the first couple episodes of both Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown and liked them a lot but for some reason I was just too busy at the time to follow them. I'm going to start on Tulsa King again this week, then Mayor afterwards.

The next show that's been announced is Madison starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox. It's being billed as a Yellowstone spinoff and the main production team from Yellowstone is working on it. Supposedly there's a Beth and Rip spinoff in the works too but given the ending of Yellowstone that seems unnecessary as it had a very "and they all lived happily ever after" beat.

Everyone needs to check out Landman. More Sheridan goodness, with Billy Bob Thornton and John Hamm in a show about the oilfield world.

I thought Teeter was a goner. I do wonder who all might get bumped off before it's over. Rip, Beth and Jimmy are safe. I think Ryan is too. I could see Lloyd getting it, and of course Jamie. I wonder if Angela Blue Thunder will make another appearance? Only 4 episodes left. Still lots of wheel spinning going on even if I love it. That's always been a problem with the show past the pilot, it's too bad they couldn't keep that tone and drive throughout. But I fear it was a victim of it's own success. I wonder if the rest of the cowboys will make it back from Texas in time for the finale? The Texas scenes are really dry (PUN FIRMLY INTENDED). It just doesn't have the visual appeal of Montana (or Utah where the early episodes were filmed). I love Jimmy, but I struggle to see how the 6666 ranch will be an interesting show. Although in this latest episode it seems like they might be setting up Beth and Rip to move down there full time. Maybe that's what happens? Kayce keeps saves the ranch or a small part of it via his son, the rest going to the Tribe, and Beth, Rip and the cowboys move down to Texas and join Matthew McConoughey for the 6666 Ranch show. I'll watch it as long as Taylor is writing it. But I'm more interested in the 1944 show that was quietly announced.

On the other hand I FINALLY watched 1923! Wow, my favorite of the three series by far. They just finished filming season 2 a month ago. Can't wait for it. Taylor writes the mini series so much better. There's no fluff and they feel like a proper story. Yellowstone feels more like a soap, at times just kinda meandering.

The buzz wore off for me too but as soon as the new season started I was back into like it never left. Really enjoyed this episode and can't wait to see the rest of it play out. I love this show so goddamn much.

i really enjoyed Sicario. gave up on Yellowstone after 2 or 3 episodes. Liked Wind River and Hell or High Water was decent but my interest with this guy now is on the third Sicario, if it happens

Plus, they never show her actually buckling down and doing work, yet she somehow is always one step ahead of everyone.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think a promiscuous booze-soaked overgrown teenager with an ashtray for a mouth, is some irresistible prize of a woman.

Show was an OK time waster in my book, but without Costner, who gives a shit?
Beth is a fantasy cartoon character. She's a monster. They're all monsters except Kayce and he's killed the most people while being in a Navy Seal. He even said, he's a killer but not a murderer. The rest of them are all unhinged psychos, especially Beth and Rip. The are very broken unrealistic people. That's what makes it so much fun.

Thomas Rainwater is the hero of the show. 1883 even shows them making a deal with the Natives to return the land to them in 7 generations.

Some of the best episodes of the show have little to no Costner, so his departure doesn't lessen the show in any real way.
