Season 2 starts airing on AMC this Monday. I hope it's an improvement over season 1. I did see Ted Raimi, Keith David and a pretty rad-looking zombie in the preview, so fingers crossed.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. WE GO ON barely missed my "thumbs-up" list (while SHOOK barely made it), so I didn't really dislike it. However, I did prefer a movie with a similar premise called THE POSSESSION OF MICHAEL KING. It was a bit less subtle, but it remained more focused on the central theme of a man struggling to find evidence for the paranormal/afterlife. That one is in my collection.
Of the other ones I liked, I wanted to add that INCIDENT IN A GHOSTLAND really stuck with me, as it contained some strong horror elements while at the same time giving the audience (or this viewer, at least) some satisfying relief. ANYTHING FOR JACKSON was really amazing. WITCH IN THE WINDOW was definitely (with all due apologies to the other Matt) a nice "little" picture. And I'd advise you not to watch the trailer for THE ROOM, as it gives away too much.

For what it's worth, my favorites are HOST, MANDY, MONSTER PARTY, SHOOK, TERRIFIED, WITCH IN THE WINDOW, INCIDENT IN A GHOSTLAND, ANYTHING FOR JACKSON and THE ROOM. The ones I won't be adding to my collection are SADAKO VS KAYAKO (disappointing despite a brilliant plot device to effect the titular confrontation), SCARE ME, SCARE PACKAGE, CHRISTMAS PRESENCE, CAN'T TAKE IT BACK, WE GO ON, and RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE.
Always appreciate your recommendations on new horror, it's so tough to know which ones are worth my time.

That said, my 14 year old daughter has been watching this and is enjoying it, and it seems to me that's the demographic this is made for.
