Watched the first episode and both tales were directed by Nicotero. Both tales are surprising tributes to the masters of horror, one fairly serious, emotional and obviously very personal and the second one being just a lot of insane fun.

Since I have a sub to Shudder, I might check to see if season 2 is worthwhile after giving up on the first after 4 eps.

It was not a good season. I liked maybe 2 or 3 of the episodes.

I have not enjoyed what I've seen of Creepshow but that Xmas special is damned good fun. Stupid, very stupid, but fun. Evil, robotic santa, a werewolf, a werecheater, a wereterrapin and hundreds of dead mall Santas.

I never pointed this out when this was first posted, but this episode is based on a story by Joe Konrath, an author who self publishes a lot of his work. Just mentioning for how unique that is.
