I know there was some talk about a British company doing a documentary on 42nd Street, but that's been in the works for years now....are there other good docs out there on NYC in the 70's? I saw a BBC special called Once Upon a Time in New York that covered disco, punk and hip-hop in the 70's that was awesome, but I've been looking around for other stuff as well. There's one out there called 42nd Street River to River, but i haven't been able to find out much about it.

Doing Time In Times Square is good but it's more about the criminal element and the experiences of the filmmakers than the theaters and what not.

So far as I know though, the definitive documentary we all want doesn't exist yet.Rock! Shock! Pop!
