I've already shared one from this shoot but what the hell? I spent all day banging these out. Have a serious case of square eyes and have forgotten what the sun looks like. But I'm happy. Should be a happy client.

One of my main goals this year was to get on top of making CGI. That didn't really happen. I was happy enough with this one though which was modelled from scratch. I was building it for an animation but realised that it took the computer 30 minutes to render this one frame, did some back of the napkin maths and figured that the 1 minute animation I had planned was going to put my computer out of action for the next month. So a photo instead.

Something different for me. A couple who have a wedding coming up requested a couple of creative edits to put on invites and things. Or somethign. I was never quite clear on the destiny of these shots but they wanted one of them in a Bonnie and Clyde scenario and one in a scifi setting. Really enjoyed doing these.

A fun thing for me that's started happening is people writing to me to have their photos edited. Which I'm all for actually. Retouchers have it made. Never leave the house, never touch a camera, just get paid to dick around in photoshop all day. One day Dom, one day... Certainly a long way from getting proper amounts of work doing that but the possibilities are tantalising. Though you you can often wind up working hard as you're not in control fo the quality of the RAWs you're working with. Got sent this one yesterday. Fortunately they wanted a Sin City style edit so it was savalgable. It is kind of fun getting hold of other peoples RAWs- and skill building as I would never as a photographer leave myself as a retoucher with this much work to do.
