I'm fascinated by the economics of live entertainment. The first thing I do when I take my seat at a play or concert or whatever is do a quick headcount of the crowd, times that number by the ticket cost and then do a quick inventory of all the costs and figure out who's getting paid what. It's a sickness but I've budgeted enough live shows myself that I just can't help it.
How do these shows work? From your photos they look to have modestly sized crowds but there looks to be a fair few performers on the bill and there's halls to hire and a reasonable amount of infrastructure that needs to be set up. I can't get my head round how people would be being paid. Are they putting their bodies on the line for free? If so is it just the love of the game or is there an end goal that's being worked towards?
