Yeah, I didn't mind a lot of it. But The Sound of A is definitely above and beyond

If he does what he's been doing with the original band doing a mini set, I'll drive to Windsor

And now there's a neat music video out for it.

It's also getting a white vinyl release on 2/23/18.

I saw that. I think that in this case, I'm okay with Spotify. I kinda don't like the rest of the album, and singles require me to flip the record too often.

Don't be cheap. Buy the CD single version. That way you can still be lazyish.

I received Detroit Stories as a present. On the plus side, it's probably the most diverse record he's done in years (there are a few songs that are diversions to the basic rock formula), but it's all a bit average. Alice shouldn't be background music. His soul song would give Paul Stanley a run for his money in the inauthenticity stakes.

On the plus side, I really enjoyed the live DVD that came with it.

A wide-release version of Live At The Astroturf was finally announced this morning! Lp editions are colored and include a dvd of the documentary made about Alice Cooper and getting the original surviving members together to play at Good Records in 2015. The cd edition includes a blu-ray edition. I have the original limited lp of the album and it's really cool. The new edition includes an instrumental version of "Desperado" which isn't on the OG edition.

How polished is it? I love the original Alice band live stuff as it's so rough and ready, not sure it will be as good if they've matured as musicians!

Nah, not polished at all. It’s four old friends getting the band back together in a record store. Notes aren’t always played perfectly. Pretty surprising sound mix by Bob Ezrin though. Ryan Roxxy from AC’s current band plays the GB parts and leads in the set.

I was looking at it, but bummed that you can only get blu-ray if you buy the CD. I like the record sets, but they ship with DVDs? I mean, I get that if you're buying one old-ass technology, why complain about the other, but....
