The final (yes, final) Manowar tour begins. They're saying that this is it.... :(

“We will march to the Final Battle as we have done throughout our entire career: Giving EVERYTHING for our fans! The victory is ours but the glory belongs to our legion of Fans!†said Joey DeMaio.
OK then, Joey, announce some North American dates and keep ticket prices reasonable.

That club looks WAY too small to be doing that kind of posturing!!!

That interview is just awesome on so many levels!!
They sound a lot more intelligent, articulate and literate than they have any right to be.....especially when you compare them with "singers" today and the shit they come out with...

They just never really embraced the US...They love Chicago though as they spent a lot of time here in the late 80's early 90's so they tend to do some special stuff here...I went to a special signing when Louder Than Hell came out...they would sign everything and anything...was a fun time...
While me and some local friends were chomping at the bit on Saturday waiting on word if there would be a show, another friend found this vid...

Nice, glad you got to go. They're not really playing anywhere near here anytime soon but if they're coming back to Chicago in Nov.... maybe there will be some East Coast dates on that leg.

Well, the show went on...found another place not far from the original venue...they killed but did not seem to happy about the new location...better than nothing though...they said they will be back here November 15th...they played for only 2 hours so that venue change must have really screwed things up...
Unfortunate that the venue was not letting people with tickets in either...place was packed...been a long time since I been to a show where the line stretched down the block and around the corner...felt like the old days...
So they did the Kings album and a bunch of old stuff too...had images on screens too...there was a tribute thing during Heart of Steel and when Dio showed up on the monitors, the place erupted...and for Scott Columbus too...
Really good time and totally worth it...just wish they played longer
