You can keep waiting, Mark - no more AM BJ's for you. Not after last time.

Look, when you say, "Are you not enjoying this?", I figure that I have to show my appreciation any way I can.

I expect an update w/ pix after this weekend, sir.

Thanks for the heads-up, btw - they're playing PDX at the East End, a tiny club that's perfect for 'em.

You'll get one. I got a camera pass confirmation from their PR dude and will do a full write up on Sunday.

Man, i wish that these guys would come to Canadia. I'm still waiting for their CD to cost me less than 20 bucks, but I really like it.

                Who buys CD's anymore?

If i like it...I buy it. For the most part. Money is pretty tight, and i'll usually always download to check it out. But i don't do itunes, if it's something that i like that much, i'll either pick up the CD or the record. In this case, I'd like the records, but the CD is way more convenient.

True - I bought the EP box set. That's a lot of record-flipping right there...

I still buy CDs too. I know digital is super convenient and stuff and usually wind up ripping my CDs to my PC anyway but if I'm going to pay for something it's going to be physical media, not a download. I also like the tangibility of the product - liner notes, cover art, all that good stuff.

Vinyl or download (or, as is usually the case, both come together) - I'm revolting against my CD's.

Ripping vinyl in the case of a hard drive crash (if it doesn't come with the digital option - and I think it's an awesome idea to include it and am glad to see that becoming more common) is a pain. So I'm a CD for awhile yet.

At any rate, a co-worker just got back from SXSW and said Off! were insane. He also managed to not get punched by Ben Weasel and he saw the Dead Milkmen who were apparantly just okay.

Yeah, their new album is underwhelming (streaming for free on their site in :30 second clip format).

I just finished listening to it. Mediocre is the nicest thing I can say about it.

Took the kids for a spin earlier and thought I'd test out the Off! CD. For a man in his fifties Morris can certainly tear it up in an impressive fashion - this is easily the best thing he's done in the last twenty years. My eldest fell asleep but my three year old was kicking his arms and legs about to the songs and even sang a punk version of 'Wheels On The Bus' to the music. Normally he doesn't let me play anything other than Billy Childish so I guess the CD gets his approval too.
