              • Rush - S/T

I don't really like Rush. In fact, I'd say I dislike most of their catalogue, BUT, last night on Youtube I randomly came across a clip of them playing in the early 70's at the same school my kids went to, so I put it on and it was all tracks from the first album and a cover or two. So I decided to listen to the first album and it's okay. Not amazing but I don't hate it. The live performance had a lot more energy than the album does though.

Their first album was vastly different from everything that came after, because Neil Peart wasn't in the band yet. When he joined, their whole approach changed into what everyone knows as Rush's style.
