        How's this compare to Bodycage?

I haven't listened to either much, but it's pretty similar. This might be a bit more rockist and a bit less noisy. It's some nice ebb and flow amidst the doomy drone.

Very cool...I've been listening to a lot of Alice Cooper lately myself; the good stuff that the original band released from 1971 to 1973. The album from that period that seems to get overlooked a lot is the follow up to Billion Dollar Babies -- "Muscle of Love". Not as much of a classic as BDB, but chock full of great tunes from top to bottom. The title track especially is probably my all time favorite AC tune.

              • Have you heard the new one, Welcome 2 My Nightmare? I checked it out on Spotify this morning - it's awful.

The early stuff still holds up really, really well though. And yeah, Muscle of Love is great.

                • No, I haven't heard the new album. Recruiting his old band mates to play on a few tracks didn't help things out, huh? I can deal with some of the solo stuff from the mid-70s to early-80s, but once Alice jumped on the 'hair metal' bandwagon, I was finished with that ride.

                  • There are a couple of songs on the new one that don't suck, but that's about as kind as I'm gonna get with it. I hear you on the pre-90s era albums, even some of the more new wave-ish ones are growing on me, but man does the newer stuff suck.

                    • I can't believe so many folks are digging on the crappy new Coop record. I want to kick them all in the taint.

                      • Let's do that! Let's taint kick them!

I always liked this one. Darklands was fine when I wanted to sit in the dark by myself and be depressed, but Automatic was a nice bit of return to form of sorts of the fuzzed out sound from their debut album.

                            • Yeah, it's just good fuzzy pop. It's not deep and dark and brooding but it's fun to sing along to. Honey's Dead works on the same level for a good half the album too.
