Wow that's a band I haven't thought about in 35 years. I used to like 'Rock and Roll Outlaw' but that's all I remember.

I bought that album when it came out, I was in high school. Killer record, I bought the reissued cd several years ago. Should be an awesome show, Ian.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

        • Yeah, it should be a blast. And they don't come to the US very often so this is kind of a rare opportunity.

          • Dave Alvin & The Guilty Ones are flying in to Chicago for a show this weekend, haven't seen them in a few years. Should be a good time!

            • Guess I'm going to see Ice Cube at CasinoRama next month. Going with good friends, so that should be okay. Ill probably end up at Rage/Run The Jewels as well, but more for RTJ.

              • Hahaha, Ice Cube is playing CasinoRama?

He really is starting to look like a motherfucking role model.

                  • I just bought tickets for Jarvis Cocker in Brooklyn in May because I am a Pulp dork.

Also, assuming the virus situation doesn't fuck everything up, I'm going to see Witch Taint with Mighty High and Two Man Advantage a week from tomorrow.

Witch Taint should be a lot of fun live.

                    • So Madball and Murphy's Law are playing a free outdoor show in Tompkins Square Park on 4/24.

Normally I'd be all over this, but right now going to a hardcore show just seems like a bad idea to me so as much as I'd love to see any live music right now, I'll be sitting this one out.

I would have loved to have gone to that and the one that's coming up in May as well, but I'm of the same mind. I also don't trust some of the idiots I've seen to not politicize the event.

                          This is also a concern.

There are a lot of really amazing people I've become familiar with lately in that NYHC scene, but there are also a lot of old school morons.

Doesn't stop me from wanting to go, though. Sadly, we've just shut down schools for the 3rd time as the cases jump, so I think they're either going to have to decide to open up again completely, or we're going to be locked down until at least 2022. It's getting frustrating.

                            • Looks like The Barenaked Ladies are playing Central Park this summer too, in July, with the Gin Blossoms and Toad The Wet Sprocket supporting. You'll wanna fly into NYC for that one, right?
