The Damned are playing with X and the Detroit Cobras in Chicago on 5/30 -- definitely getting a ticket for that!

April is going to be a good month for shows.

I'm going to Voivod and YOB on 4/4.

We've got tickets to see Kris Kristofferson on 4/13.

And then we're going to see The Gories and The Oblivians on 4/27.

Ah, well, opening for sold out shows at Radio City Music Hall is nothing to be ashamed of.

They were here headlining earlier in the year and played a Brooklyn Steel, same place bands like The Pixies played on the last tour, so they're still drawing respectable crowds I think.

NIN is a much bigger draw these days. Either way, both bands were great. I thought JAMC might not be as good as I remember them being but nope, they were fantastic. And Nine Inch Nails' show was absolutely killer. I'm not the world's biggest fan and stopped paying attention after The Fragile but what a great show they put on. At one point the lights were so intense that I was seeing spots for like 20 minutes afterwards.

Saw Satan on Friday, NIN with JAMC opening tonight.

Going to the MC50 thing tonight, Detroit Cobras and Last Throes are opening.

I figure Wayne Kramer can't keep doing this forever and this is a good chance to see him do an entire set of MC5 stuff with a great backing band... assuming I don't fall asleep standing up (slept rather poorly last night).

Sure as hell going to try my damndest to make it down. Runemagick are a bucket list band for me and who knows if this is just a one-off or will lead to more US gigs.
