Going to see Sacrifice, the Japanese thrash band from the 80's, in January. Their first US appearance ever.
On the flip side, 12/28 is supposedly the last Poison Idea show ever, and I've got tickets for that too.

I'm contemplating going to Toronto to see that Rev show. He pissed me off last time he played here and I swore never again, but hey, Dave Alvin.

Rev. Horton Heat is playing around Thanksgiving in Chicago. He's dragging along Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dave Alvin and -- wow!! -- New Bomb Turks.
The weekend before that is Chicago/burb legends Sidekick Kato (played this time last year, but they've been essentially retired since the early 00's).

Just bought kinda spendy tickets for the Jane Birkin 'Le Symphonique' tribute to Serge Gainsbourg. It features a full orchestra as well as appearances from Charlotte Gainsbourg and Iggy Pop. Should be rad.

DEAD CAN DANCE is touring North & South America in April/May 2020. Not close enough for me, but for those better situated: https://www.deadcandance.com/live

Yeah, they were fun every time I saw them. Joel was also a really friendly guy the few times I met him. The new album is pretty bad ass.

They were probably the best out of the opening acts. I enjoyed them.

They put on a good show even without Oderous.
How was Toxic Holocaust? I haven't seen them since I lived in PDX.

On a whim last night, I went to see GWAR. Toxic Holocaust, Against the Grain, and Sacred Reich opened. A friend of mine, who is probably the biggest GWAR fan I've ever known, paid 400 dollars for VIP tickets which got him a meet and greet, soundcheck, tickets to the show, and the opportunity to be stuffed into a meat grinder while Gwar covered AC/DC. I have to say that I'm not familiar with Gwar past Ragnarock, and the new singer is no Dave Brockie, but it was a good time with a lot of spraying bodily fluids and dicks and bodily fluids and nipples and more dicks and more fluid. They were plenty entertaining.

Going to see Pentagram tonight with Bobby Liebling now out of jail. I'm expecting it to be a bit of a shit show, but we'll see.
