Hahaha, Ice Cube is playing CasinoRama?

He really is starting to look like a motherfucking role model.

Guess I'm going to see Ice Cube at CasinoRama next month. Going with good friends, so that should be okay. Ill probably end up at Rage/Run The Jewels as well, but more for RTJ.

Dave Alvin & The Guilty Ones are flying in to Chicago for a show this weekend, haven't seen them in a few years. Should be a good time!

Yeah, it should be a blast. And they don't come to the US very often so this is kind of a rare opportunity.

I bought that album when it came out, I was in high school. Killer record, I bought the reissued cd several years ago. Should be an awesome show, Ian.

Gonna go see Ross The Boss on 1/25 and it looks like I'm going to see The Mummies in Brooklyn in April.

Going to see Sacrifice, the Japanese thrash band from the 80's, in January. Their first US appearance ever.

On the flip side, 12/28 is supposedly the last Poison Idea show ever, and I've got tickets for that too.

He was doing that thing for awhile as well where he would do a bunch of covers in the middle of his set, which was annoying as hell. Last time I saw him, he would talk for 10 minutes, play a song, talk for 5 minutes, etc. We were there for 45 minutes (waiting for Unknown Hinson), and he played about 4 songs.

I'm contemplating going to Toronto to see that Rev show. He pissed me off last time he played here and I swore never again, but hey, Dave Alvin.

Rev. Horton Heat is playing around Thanksgiving in Chicago. He's dragging along Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dave Alvin and -- wow!! -- New Bomb Turks.

The weekend before that is Chicago/burb legends Sidekick Kato (played this time last year, but they've been essentially retired since the early 00's).
