Saw Dreamwell on Sunday night in Chicago - gonna go check them out in Milwaukee tomorrow night too just for the hell of it. Also going back up to Milwaukee on Saturday night to see a Greg Cartwright solo show. Might see The Dwarves on Sunday night.

Well, after last night’s show, I can vouch that the Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to fuck with, and Nas did nothing to change my opinion on him.
De La Soul with Talib Kweli subbing in for Trugoy was hugely disappointing as the opener, they didn’t even do any full songs, just a medley that didn’t sound right due to Kweli not being a good stylistic fit.
The Wu had Young Dirty Bastard subbed in for his deceased father, and he did an awesome job.
The visual presentation of the show was awesome, video walls on and above the stage with some killer visuals for Wu-Tang, but the audio mix was SHIT. It was like packing your ears with mud. Maybe it was the world-renowned shitty accoustics of the Saddledome, but it wasn’t good.
I still had a blast, though.
The Seattle show on October 18th is streaming for free on Amazon Prime, so check it out if you’re into hip hop.Last edited by Darcy Parker; 10-15-2023, 07:36 PM.

Saturday night, me and my friend are going to see Wu-Tang Clan and Nas. It’s a bucket list show for him, and I figured why the hell not, since he didn’t want to go alone.

I saw the Cure back in the 90's (Wild Mood Swings tour, I think) and even though I didn't like them, they were well-rehearsed and sounded good.
I just saw The Mission, The Chameleons and Theatre of Hate (TOH succcccckkkked).
Tomorrow is Murphy's Law (my first time) with the Barstool Prophets and The Rumjacks.

I'm going to go see Midnight on 9/20 at St. Vitus in Brooklyn. Early 8pm start, perfect for middle-aged guys who can't stay up late anymore and need to work in the morning!
