I saw the line up and was kinda underwhelmed, but then, I don't care about Devo or Madness and I realize they're the big draw. Most of the bands on the bill I do care about, I've seen before so I can't justify the costs. But you'll probably have a fucking blast. I bet it'll be loads of fun.

I'm trying to decide if I want to pay $72 to see Social Distortion and Bad Religion tour together. At this point, I probably don't, but I'm not writing it off completely yet.

I'm in the same boat on that one, but it looks like they might not be playing Canada...although SxDx is apparently making up their club show that was cancelled cause of the cancer.

As for PRB, I'd be pretty jazzed if it was last year's lineup haha. I will say, though, Devo live are fucking amazing, especially with Josh Freese on drums.

      • I've heard that they're great live, I'm just not that big a fan.

The biggest draw there for me would be Stiff Little Fingers, haha. Though I am curious to see who gets added to the club shows.

I'm worried because I'm told that they do one big surprise guest show where you blind buy tickets. I'm thinking that since it's NOFX's supposed last kick at the can, and because PRB has a lot to do with Mike, that they're going to show up and play. Funny how much I used to like that band before I found out what a huge fucking scumbag Fat Mike is. Anything for a dollar, and he'll walk all over people once he's done using them. I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the guy who gave us Cokie the Clown is a piece of shit, but yeah. Fuck NOFX.

          • Also, for some reason, I thought you and I were similar in our Devo-tion lol.

He sat behind me (not in front of me, damn it) at the AVN awards in Vegas years ago. I turned around to politely tell him I grew up listening to him, was very friendly and he was.... a total douchebag. hah. Maybe he was just like 'leave me alone random guy so I can enjoy the porn awards' but regardless, he was not a nice man. But yeah, NOFX is probably a decent guess if they do a surprise act.

And nope, never really been that into Devo. Tried a few times. I don't hate them or anything, just kind of indifferent.

              • I think I'm gonna go see Madball, Murphy's Law and Gogol Bordello do the Jesse Malin benefit show in Tompkins Square Park on 4/27.

I also have tickets for Guitar Wolf in May, because I don't miss Guitar Wolf shows if I can help it, and Pulp in September, both of which I'm really looking forward to.

                • Boom. St Vincent at the end of May. It’s at a small club in Bristol, so effectively a warm-up for the show at The Royal Albert Hall the following night.
