So that black metal book I'm reading (Black Metal Evolution of the Cult) mentions in passing in the chapter on Emperor that two former members of that band (Samoth and convicted murderer Faust) play in a "death punk" band with Casey Chaos (Amen) and Happy Tom! The band is called Scum and they've actually been around since 2002 or so. Have at least one album out - Gospels For The Sick - and there's some videos on YouTube. A mix of black metal and hardcore...anyone have the album? I'm tempted to track it down. Not a huge fan of straight-up BM aside from a few bands but this ain't bad from what I've heard so far.

I've got it and I dig it. It's an interesting mix of psuedo-traditional black metal and the Turbonegro death punk sounds. If you like what you've heard in the youtube clips you'll probably enjoy the rest of the album.
If you use Spotify throw 'gospels for the sick' into the search bar and you'll be able to stream it there.Rock! Shock! Pop!
