I haven't heard all the much of his solo stuff, but the stuff I did here (mostly from his first record) were pretty good. Radness Indeed.

I wasn't completely wowed by his solo album, but it wasn't awful either. I'd be willing to give this a shot though I've got to say I'm a little wary to see some of the collaborators involved. Weird.

I'll go on the record as stating that although The Ramones are in my top 3 bands of all time, Joey's solo album did nothing for me. His cover of What A Wonderful World, which everyone RAVED about, was about as contrived as anything that's been done by New Found Glory or whoever the newest punk-pop-band-doing-covers group is. I'll give this a chance because it's Joey Ramone, but i'm generally pretty lukewarm on demos as well.

The demos that were included with the special edition reissue of the 1st Ramones album were pretty bad ass, I thought.

Joey's solo record wasn't amazing, but it was a solid effort and much better than the last few Ramones records. (My cut-off point is Brain Drain.) The Ronnie Spector EP he wrote and produced was also good. I don't expect this new album to blow my socks off, but at this point any new Ramones related music is welcomed stuff.

Listen to the 1st single off the new album while watching it getting pressed into vinyl: Radness
