    Well, this sucks. His playing in the Dolls was fantastic. 69 isn't that old.

    Aw, this is awful. His contributions to the Dolls have always been underappreciated. RIP.

      I knew he'd had cancer for a while, sad to see it took him.

      Dolls were so influential and, like Andrew says, still don't get the appreciation they deserve.

        Its over 50 years since they were influential in the UK punk movement but its only now I have stared to understand why and I'm not sure Malcolm McLaren's invovlement has anything to do with it

          I would agree that McLaren's involvement was probably more detrimental to their legacy, being that he was responsible for the whole red leather/hammer and sickle imagery.
