      • Went to a record show in Long Island today and picked up a few LPs...

        Curtis Mayfield - Curtis Live
        Cheap Trick - Heaven Tonight
Johnny Cash, Jeannie C. Riley & Jerry Lee Lewis - Sunday After Church
Johnny Cash - The Holy Land (with the 3D cover!)

And the random "how they Hell did this wind up in Long Island find of the day."...

Random Killing - This Whole World (with the insert).

            I got it for $5!

Oh, and I also bought the 2nd Meat Loaf album for $2 because it had a cover by Bernie Wrightson. I'd never heard it before and... It isn't terrible. I was kinda surprised by that.

Dead Ringer is great! Should have been as huge as Bat. Watch the video for "I'm Gonna Love Her for Both of Us". One of the backing vocalists is a dead ringer for Joey Silvera.

                • Some cheap but rad CDs!

Dr. Feelgood - Original Albums Series (has Be Seeing You, Let It Role, Case Of The Shakes, On The Job and Sneakin' Suspicion all on individual CDs in neat little LP replica sleeves)
Wilko Johnson/Roger Daltrey - Going Back Home (not sure if this is gonna suck or not but it was cheap)
Bo Diddley - Five Classic Albums (has Bo Diddley, Go Bo Diddley, Have Guitar Will Travel, Bo Diddley Is A Gunslinger and Bo Diddley Is A Lover in it - a pretty boss collection)

Yeah, those Original Albums sets are cool (and cheap!). I have Foghat, ZZ Top and April Wine ones. I like those little replica sleaves.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

It's the only one I have so far but I've got my eye on a few others. So much bang for the buck!

If you see the Foghat one, I highly recommend it! It has Foghat, Energized, Fool For The City, Foghat Live and Tight Shoes. Their stuff holds up really well. The ZZ Top is great too - Rio Grande Mud, Tres Hombres, Fandango!, Deguello and Eliminator. I got the April Wine one mainly for Harder...Faster and Nature of the Beast.

                        • I've got most of that ZZ Top stuff on vinyl but that Foghat set... that's pretty much all the Foghat you need, I think. Those are the good ones.

Yeah, the Foghat is very solid, the only weak link is Tight Shoes - it's early 80s one after they had pretty much shot their wad. Night Shift or Stone Blue would have been a better choice. Still tons of killer tunes in the set though.

Does the ZZ Top set have the original drum tracks instead of the 80s drum machine overdubs?

I'm certain they're the original drum tracks.
