  • Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame Inductions

I don't normally give a shit about stuff like this but I was happy to see Alice Cooper and Tom Waits get in and not at all embarassed to admit that I was happy to see Neil Diamond too.

This picture of Waits is rad and the fact that Neil Young played with him is also pretty great.

Alice looks ancient... but he's got a giant snake around his neck so you can't mess with him.

THAT SAID, how fucked up is this???????????

    And then there's this:

Do you think Bruce made Bette and Catharine take the long walk from their front porch to his front seat?

Bette Midler got inducted?? Takes Alice Cooper 20 years to get in but Better Midler was even in the running? How about Lemmy? That dude pisses rock and/or roll.

Midler was inducting Darlene Love and I guess was just hanging around a bunch and getting into as many pictures as possible. I want to punch her in her stupid face.

Lemmy should be inducted just for not being dead yet.

Who is Darlene Love?? I'm sorry but a large percentage of the American population should at least have heard of a person in order for them to even be considered. That's
four time times I've used italics in a thread. That's money, honey!

Darlene Love is a pretty big deal, if for no other reason than she did the vocals on Basketball Jones for Cheech & Chong.

She's had a pretty impressive career and deserved better than Bette.

Well, ten top 100 songs over a 50 year span, a number one song five decades ago, and not having name recognition to the common folk hardly qualifies some one to be a member of the hall of fame of anything. F all them B's in the A's. And fuck Better Midler for inspiring people like Renee Zellweger and James Franco to squint act.

It does, but it isn't Rock and Roll HOF material. Comedy Song HOF sure...anyway what did she do? Sing "Basketball Joooonnness" over and over?

                    Pretty much, yep.

                    Tom Waits. Rad.

Why didn't I go see him last time he was around? Oh yeah, cause tickets were a million dollars.

Darlene Love totally deserves it, if only because her "Christmas- Baby Please Come Home" is rad and it was ruined by U2, who I'll bet are already in the HoF.

Yay for Alice. Why he wasn't a first year shoe-in, I can't fathom.

You have to be around for 25 years before you can get inducted.....was Alice in the running when the HOF opened? I dunno. Still, good for him. The Stooges last year, Alice this year...and Tom Waits, that's pretty awesome.

Bette Midler shouldn't be allowed anywhere near that place.

Oh, I don't know the rules of it all. Didn't the Alice Cooper band start in 1969? No clue when the Hall opened.
Alice would have been in MY hall of fame first year.

It's because of the snakes, isn't it Mike....?

Ah, see, the hall opened in 1984. I believe that the rules were 25 years prior. That would've made 1959 the first year, which is why Elvis and shit got in. I don't think that Duane Eddy even made it in til the fourth year.
