Reported over at newsarama.com via Facebook (George Perez) that Carmine Infantino passed away at the age of 87. Long time Flash & Adam Strange artist plus he had a lot to do with the "New Look" Batman.

I loved his work on Flash and Detective.

I just saw the announcement...it certainly seems like too many giants are leaving us this year. One of the true foundations of the silver age of DC and my probably my favorite artist of all time. Loved his clean, realistic style.
