  • The Complete Web Of Horror Coming From Fantagraphics

Details still being worked out but there's going to be a kickstarter happening soon that will reprint all the content from the 3 published issues as the content from the unpublished fourth issue (including the Wrightson story). Fantagraphics is apparently committed to publishing it.

    There's a FB group here.

Dark Horse was supposed to put this out but ran into legal problems with the rights. So, we'll see if this actually appears.

            From the FB group:

Some have asked if THE COMPLETE WEB OF HORROR has text features or history.
            Indeed it does!
In addition to my introduction, there's a FOREWORD by original WEB OF HORROR editor Terry Bisson ...
WEB OF HORROR: THE ORIGIN STORY by the late Clark Dimond, about the creation of the magazine ...
A revised version of my article SPINNING A WEB OF HORROR, originally published in hardcover edition of THE WARREN COMPANION ...
THE MAKING OF SCREAM DOOR by Robert Lewis, about creating the one-shot fanzine with Mark Feldman that featured unpublished WOH stories ...
A WEB OF REALITY by Robert Gerson, editor and publisher of REALITY #1 and 2, which featured yet more unpublished WOH stories ...
CREATORS OF HORROR, creator bios by Steven Ringgenberg ...
and an AFTERWORD by Richard Arndt.
This is my mock-up of the book's contents page, modeled after the table of contents in the original magazines. Here's hoping this is how it will look in the final book!

I'd kill for the beautiful hardcovers they did in the late 80's of the EC books and the Carl Barks Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comics, but even back then, they were ungodly expensive.

I don't have the Fantagraphics reprints, if anyone does, can you confirm if the colors look alright?

My issue with the Dark Horse EC reprints is that the colors are tweaked and look quite a bit different than the originals, or even the Russ Cochran, Gladstone or East Coast Comix reprints.

The Indie Go Go campaign is now live. Book is pretty pricey at $100 a copy.

Cover art for the standard edition is pretty nice.
