  • Another week another trip to the doc for mom. Brought the two pictured trades.

Finish Killadelphia vol 2 and started the Miller DD tpb.

Killadelphia vol 2 wow amazing art. Helped fill in the history of a few characters. Then that last page!!!

Can't be the only one reading this can I?

    • Instead of a doc's waiting room it was the dealership's waiting room as I got the oil changed on the main car.

Finished up Weapon X. Was given the hardcover months ago. Read half then. Still holds up. Still say this needs to be an animated film.

Then after months of putting it off read Prophet Vol 2 TPB.

Amazing art and a story that I am slowly maybe seeing where it is going. Diehard and Troll appear. Badrock gets mentioned. What's next Cougar, riptide and Dutch? Masada?

This reads like a great early 80s comic that was serialed in Heavy Metal.

4 stories/bios. Kriss Kross and Ugly Kid Joe are more Bios. Jason Priestly and Luke Perry are just odd stories. One with Luke bungee jumping.

So nothing great but the two activity pages must be seen..
Hey Married with Children Crossword that is cool.

        How do they top that.....

Well ARE YOu? ARE YOU CRAZY FOR SWAYZE!!!!
There are no numbers on the crossword puzzle to show where to put the answers. CHAOS!

        • Finished Prophet tpb vol 2 a bit earlier. So was nice that vol 3 came in the mail today.

Fuck this is so good. Yea I know I'm a decade behind. If I had known the writer works in all the Extreme characters I would have jumped on this faster.

It's so good. Nothing beats the first read through because it's really about discovering it all and where it's going. All the various creators really gelled together and knocked it outta the park. It just shows that there's no bad characters, it's all about what you do with them.

Yep,Alan Moore proved that with his Supreme run.

Really glad I had like almost none of this spoiled before reading.

              • Not sure what people here make of James Tynion but I re-read the first volume of W0rldtr33 in the last week and thought it was great. I’ve now started Something is Killing the Children having recently purchased the first hardback. I’m liking it well enough but the art is proving a bit of a barrier.

I'm a fan. Check out the three issue The Closet mini series from Image, I thought it was excellent, and I always enjoy Department Of Truth as well. I actually like the art in SIKTC but can see why others might not.

                  • Will pick up The Closet, which is super-cheap at Amazon at the moment.

With regards to the SIKTC art, it’s not that I have a problem with it aesthetically, but more that I’m not always entirely sure what I’m looking at. I think sometimes that’s deliberate but sometimes probably not.

                    • Midway through the second arc of W0rldtr33 and fully bought into it. I hope there’s a deluxe hardcover somewhere down the line.

I read the latest issue the other day, it's a great read and I'm curious to see where it goes.

Yeah, I’m really enjoying it and surprised it didn’t feature on any of the best of / year end lists I looked at over the festive period.

                          • I'm what 30 years late on this,I think it debuted in 95,Stray Bullets fucking rules.

Had a stack of about 15 of the issues for a bit now. Never read them. Tonight during dinner read issue 6 and now hooked.

Art and story combined into something that felt more like a good adventure comic strip than a comic. Love the 8 panels on most pages. Allowing to pack each page with info but also making it feel like it is moving super fast.

So only read this one issue. Guessing Amy Racecar is either delusional or still in that coma like thing she was at teh start of the issue.

Short video review of Doomsday Squad #1. Sat on the porch and read it earlier.

                              • Just finished the first volume of Ultimate Spider-Man and liked it a lot, so much so that I’ve pre-ordered the second. There is a dramatic fall-off in the quality of art when Marco Checchetto takes a break though, which is disappointing on such a high profile title.
