Had a bit to kill before lunch. Blew through this trade. Sure it is only 5 issues of Black Hood, plus a Vampironica for some reason.
Back from the west coast our lead is trying to stay off the pills and not be the Black Hood again. Of course he gets dragged back into the underworld.
Same writer as vol 1,this time it is a different artist on each issue. Which hurts a bit.
Got vol 3 on it's way. Wish this Dark Circle line from Archie had done better. Really good stuff that either didn't sell or got postponed to work on the Riverdale TV show.

Got in vol 3 and just read it.
At least the writer knew he had to wrap it up in 5 issues. Curious about the sales figures on this season. Greg Scott handles the art this time and I do like his art.
Nice way of bringing the run full circle that I forgot about. But this came out in what 2016 been close to 10 years since my last time reading it.
Debating on starting Manifest Destiny vol 2 or going to bed.

Stormwatch PHD vol 3-collects issues 13-17
Don't think I read any of the Wildstorm titles from this era. Which is right before DC tried to merge Wildstorm into the DC proper universe.
This is more back to the Stormwatch stories of Ellis' era. Big threats. Usually taken care of in 1 or 2 issues. Lots of hard choices. And left me wanting to finish the run.

Read the Constantine TPB on the left today.
Second collection of this series from the New 52 run. JL Dark is missing. Mister E is killing all the magicians and after getting all this solved, the world gets attacked by the BLIGHT.
And now John must lead revamped JL Dark, including Nightmare Nurse/Swamp Thing/The Phantom Stranger. Where they go from the Outskirts of Heaven. Meeting God who is a scotty dog.
All so John can somewhat redeem his soul by saving the one person he loves, besides himself.
Yea I'm biased I have loved pretty much every version of this character in comics. I didn't hate the Reeves movie. And the TV show was a must see TV for me the short time it aired.
This was more than worth the 4 bucks it cost me at Ollies. Bad thing is I want the two other TPBs that finish this run. Vol 4 I can get cheap. Vol 3 is OOP and at least 5 bucks over cover price.
Might just grab the issues for the rest of this run. But yea if you enjoy the asshole magician John Constantine give this a read.

Supreme Blue Rose
Read this when it was coming out,but re-reading it today realized I remember nothing of it.
Feels like Ellis trying to take what Moore created on Supreme and connecting it to the Pre-Moore Supreme and setting it up where anyone could take over and do whatever they wanted.
Didn't Warren Ellis do Project Superpowers Black Cross? Cause this is a very similar plot.
Amazing art and the writing kept my reading until it was over.

So Rick Veitch posted about how DC is considering publishing issue 88 of Swamp Thing.
Rick said to email
publishswampthing88@gmail.com
And DC is reading the emails sent in and I guess gaging interest.
No clue if it will work. But I have wanted to read that issue for over half my life now.

Got in the second hardcover of Miracleman from Marvel, found it for like 6 bucks shipped. Realized I hadn't read the first hardcover in a few and sat on the back porch with the dog. Letting her bark at the geese on the lake as I listened to podcast and read.
And like 4 pages into Chapter 1 I realized it was reading this back whenever it came out from Eclipse in the States that I realized how the writer/artist could use the turning of the page of the comic as a way of working the story.
Now not sure if the above is the first time I noticed this page turn thing but is the first I can think of.
Yea sorry mixture of pain meds and just maybe reading too much into an ancient comic.
Just feels like another thing Moore did so much with that is forgotten now thanks ot either Moore being kind of an ass sometimes. And just even though this series has always been available,be it print or scan form,it isn't as well read as it is just well known.

Saw Robin Bougie mention finding a Revolutinary Comic comic with some Ken Landgraf art. And remembered I had one of their books I got recently in a blind bag.
4 stories/bios. Kriss Kross and Ugly Kid Joe are more Bios. Jason Priestly and Luke Perry are just odd stories. One with Luke bungee jumping.
So nothing great but the two activity pages must be seen..
Hey Married with Children Crossword that is cool.
How do they top that.....
Well ARE YOu? ARE YOU CRAZY FOR SWAYZE!!!!
