Yeah, the whole reason i finally checked out the Blaise's is because my local shop still had a lot of the early ones sitting around for regular retail. I picked up a couple online, the only one i went $30 on was The Gabriel Set-Up. Everything else i manged to pick up in the $10-20 range. At this point i have everything through Death Trap except Green-Eyed Monster, which is a tough one, but i'm patient.

The best thing is they can be read out of order so there's no real need to own them all. But boy they got they're hooks in me so hard I eventually went nuts and got them all. I'm working through the prose novels right now and they are just as good if not better in some ways and my new hunt is the slip-cased signed and numbered editions that go for $60-200. For a freaking prose novel! $30 for THE GABRIEL SET-UP is not bad. There's a couple volumes I went $70 on and I only justified it because I got a bunch of the later volumes for $3-$6 each. And certain volumes rarely even come up for sale so it's hard to finagle the price.
I love this character and Peter's writing so much it's really the only thing I'd spend that kind of money on."When I die, I hope to go to Accra"

Yeah, it's definitely an addictive strip. And realistically, if i get to The Hellmakers and still haven't found one under 30, i'll just go ahead and pay. And i'll definitely put Doctor Mid-Nite next in line and let you know what i think about that one.

Read a few new issues last night.
King Spawn #1 - it was ok I guess. I haven't read a lot of the newer Spawn stuff so I didn't really know what was going on.
Department Of Truth #12 - this series has been great from the start and has yet to disappoint me. This issue builds on things from the first 11 issues and sets up something big to come in the next. Good stuff.
Joker #6 - I was going to drop this but then Guillem March did the art on this issue so I grabbed it and actually found it to be pretty solid after being disappointed in 4 and 5.
Rorschach #11 - this series confuses the hell out of me and I love it. Once #12 comes out I'm going to reread it from the start.Rock! Shock! Pop!

Did some more reading last night.
Daredevil #33 - Zdarsky's run is coming to an end but I guess there's something else coming after it? Not sure. Anyway, Daredevil is seemingly behind a prison riot, Elektra got her ass kicked by some Bullseye clones and got saved by Spider-man and Iron Man and the Kingpin is freaking out. It was a fun issue. Nonsensical in a lot of ways, in contrast to the earlier issues of this run which are grounded and deal a lot with Murdock's Catholicism.
Star Wars High Republic #8 - I don't know why I bought this. The cover was nice.
The Defenders #1 - I bought this because I got suckered in by Peach Momoko's Silver Surfer cover. It was fun read. Dr. Strange teams up with some guy in a weird mask who just sort of shows up. He uses Tarot cards to summon people to help him, and the Silver Surfer, Better Banner and a coupe of others show up and, well, I won't spoil the ending. It was just good entertainment. Dumb as a bag of hammers but I'm ok with that as long as it works, and it worked. Great art too, super colorful.
I also read Kevin Eastman's 2-issue Zombie War series that IDW put out in 2013. It's low on plot and high on violence. I bought it because I got it for $1 for both issues. It was worth that because I like Eastman's art and it's always interesting to see him draw something other than TMNT.Rock! Shock! Pop!
