      • Nice haul! I never, ever see Crossed in the bargain bins or anywhere else for that matter. Dark Gods was a pretty good series as I recall.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

Dark Gods is pretty solid, yeah. And I think this is the first time I've seen any Crossed around here in the back issue bins as well. For $0.50 a pop, I grabbed'em.

            • Hit the comic shop today.

Cheapbins haven't been restocked since my last trip so hit the shelf of cheap trades.

The One-King Hell Heroica printing was 7 bucks.
Strangers in Paradise Pocket Book vol 1 was 7 bucks.

              • I really like Rick Veitch but have never read The One. I'll keep my eyes open for it on future visits as they pop up in $1 bins on the regular.

Around here I never see any Veitch in the cheap bins, outside of maybe a few issues of his Swamp Thing run. Plus getting to where I rather have a TPB than a stack of issues.

                    • So I went to a very small con in Long Island yesterday, only 3 comic dealers there but it was something to do.

One the way home I stopped at a flea market and there were a bunch of $1 bin books there. Found a few random titles - a bronze age Ghost Rider book, a bronze age Power Man book, a couple of Conans I needed, an issue of ROM and a T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents reprint with some nice Wally Wood art in it. Then I saw a baseball card dealer with 2 short boxes of $1 books and in there I found an Ultimate Fall Out #4. It was a 2nd print not a first, but still, that's a $150-$200 book, so I was pretty happy to score that. Sometimes it pays to dig through those cheapie bins!

I didn't know that was a big deal either. Wow, what a find! Jonathan Hickman lives here in Florence by the way, I've talked to him at the comic store a few times and he's signed some stuff for me. Nice guy. Haven't seen him in a few years.
