I haven't seen Atlas stuff,outside of cons or overpriced wall books,in hell 20 years. THe copy I got is well read but for 50 cents I couldnt leave it there. I think cause the indie cheap bins are under the tables the Marvel and DC cheap bins are on,not many people dig thru them. ANd it isn't all 90s glut or 80s b/w boom stuff.

Atlas stuff is so random as far as pricing goes! Sometimes I find nice copies in the $1 bins, other times I see them at shops for $10-20 a pop. There doesn't seem to be any real logic to the pricing structure on those books but given that they had some great artists involved and, to the best of my knowledge, they haven't been reprinted I figure they're worth grabbing when you can find them cheap.

Them never being reprinted and wasn't Atlas before the direct market took off? If so that means all the Atlas stuff you find is newstand copies.

The only minty mint Atlas I got is Fright#1. Found that in a con dealer's 10 books for a buck bin.

It was part of Corman's Cosmic Comics. There was RnR High school,Caged Heat 3000,which I have the first issue of. A Kevin O'neil Pat Mills done Death Race series. And I think maybe a Little SHop of Horrors series. But these all came out right as that mid 90s comic bust happened so I doubt many people read them.

Wow there was more than one issue of this published. I had never seen proof that issue 2 shipped. Who does the art on this on Ian? I know the guy behind The Goon did some early work at London Night on some Razor stuff.

Also read Dungeoneers 1 and 2 last night. Really fun D&D style series from SilverWolf. Tim Vigil does the inks on issue 1. Found 1 thru 3 last week. Need to just pay the 2 bucks MCS wants for the 4th and final issue.

There are 4 issues in total. Interior art is by Jerry Beck, who I don't think I know from anything else. Eric Powell did the covers though.

Because I had nothing to do today I drove out to Long Island and hit a shop I'd never been to before. Found the missing issue of Archie's The Fly series from the 80s, all Ditko issues, for $1 a piece. I also got Dog #1, the Joe Vigil book, for $1.50.

Got Micronauts #9, 10 and 11 for $1 a piece. Early Micronauts comics are pretty rad.
