      • "Early next year we will be publishing an art book I have looked forward to doing for a very long time. All of the paintings Bernie did for us (FPG) over a 2-year span, reproducing them at close to actual size. About 140 paintings in all. Reproduced from high quality transparencies which were shot directly from Bernie's original paintings as they arrived at the FPG offices in 1993-1994."

              • HOOKY has great art. Odd story for a Spider-Man book. I like Charles Vess' SPIRITS OF THE EARTH much more.

If I'm not mistaken, Susan K. Putney was a novelist who wrote teen-oriented fantasy novels in the 70s and 80s

                  • Thank Darcy. I knew I had never seen her name on comics outside of Hooky. ANd yea Hooky didn't feel like a Spidey story at all. The video Ian posted goes into great detail about it and it was pretty entertaining.

                            • Wrightson's illustrations for StephenKing's books were always amazing work.

                              • From the Wrightson twitter feed:

"Original concept art by Bernie from GHOSTBUSTERS (1984). An early version of the script had the team going through the gates of Hell, and Bernie was tapped to come up with the visuals! What a different movie that would have been!"
