Is that from The Cult? I remember being freaked out by that series when it first came out. Remember DC's prestige format releases and how they were expensive but awesome? The Cult, Longbow Hunters... good times.

Wrightson's Poe adaptations were just astounding. Me love long time.

Yep. The Howard Chaykin Shadow and Blackhawk books were a big deal too. A lot of Marvel's Epic books came out in a similar format. Now regular comics cost that much.

Yes we are. I forgot about the Blackhawk stuff. The Shadow wasn't 'prestige' though, was it? I think it was stapled, not bound.

Yeah, Chaykin's Shadow was stapled. It also happens to have come out in a new reprint collection this week. I remember the owner of the comic shop where I picked up Blackhawk was all pissed off about the blowjob scene.

It is stapled. I just got 3 of the 4 issues a month back at the local indoor flea market.

Nice stuff. I used to have a few of his portfolios as well as a 1st edition HC of A Look Back but then back in the mid 90s my basement flooded and that stuff got trashed.
