I haven't read yet and will be a while before I get around to it but a few notes. I wouldn't worry about the book being pod (and I'm pretty positive that the regular edition will not be pod). Just means that the paper is a little heavier and the binding is not great but the binding may not be much better on the regular edition. A lot of the extra pages is probably due to the photos and reproductions of posters, almost every page has one. His life in the adult world really doesn't start until around page 439 in the first volume. And just skimming it, he does talk the films and people when he gets to that part of his story, but he does talk about his personal life. My understanding is that the regular edition will be missing most of the photos and some of the text will be shorten.
