In the Iranian ghost-town Bad City, a place that reeks of death and loneliness, the townspeople are unaware they are being stalked by a lonesome vampire.

Release Date: Sundance Film Festival 2014

The fact that this is Iranian and that the trailer looks cool piqued my interest.

Festival reviews that were coming out for this seemed pretty bad, but since you don't see any Iranian Vampire films, well, ever, I'd ch-ch-ch-check it out.
          It's all in the reflexes.

There are definitely a lot of different opinions on this one in the review world to be sure but I've read some positive pieces.

Dig the poster art Kino just posted.

Yeah, I won't go out to the theater for it (I think it already played here a few weeks ago) but am definitely down for the eventual DVD/Blu-ray release.

It would be interesting to see a list of countries that have not made a vampire movie. Are there any?

Have there been any vampire films made in African countries?

Now that you mention it, that would be an interesting list to check out.

Poking around the web a bit I found quite a few African ones including films from Nigeria (Sexy Vampires, Phyllis, Vampire's Call 1 & 2), South Africa (Eternity, Pure Blood), and Cameroon (The Bleeders, Easy Blood, Les Saignantes.) So they're definitely out there. It's interesting how many countries have their own vampire mythology (paging Dr. Jung.)
