Hopefully it won't go through Shout. I'd love to see this come out through Synapse or Scorpion.

      Is that because of price?

I love Wynorski. I hope he does a commentary track.

Price for sure, but also because I know both Don and Walt would put a lot of effort into not just the restoration, but the extras.

This was LG, right? I don't exactly buy into this until a label announces this. I have heard speculation that Arrow got the Image library stuff like House 1/2, CHUD, etc.

No formal announcement yet but Wynorski has said that he is working with Lionsgate on this release.

"Big doings at Lionsgate tomorrow. Wish me luck."

              From his FB page.

More news from his FB page:

"I can't post the artwork as yet, but a deal has been struck to release CHOPPING MALL on BluRay through Lionsgate as soon as late summer. Their art dept. did an amazing job on the front and back covers and the disc will be chock full of extras, both old and new. I'm so happy that the film will finally be getting the restoration it needed; and that the fans deserve. And get this....they're already searching thru their vaults for more 80s titles to give the BluRay treatment. Thank you all for your encouragement and best wishes - banging my head against a wall for the last two years finally paid off."

Extras are being worked on it seems... from Wynorski's FB page:

"The last living Killbot consents to a new interview for the upcoming BluRay edition of CHOPPING MALL. Bitter that he never went on to a "Robby The Robot" type of fame, the creaky, rusty bot nevertheless spills some interesting behind-the-scenes stories; including his oil-addiction problem and the up-hill struggle to find success after the movie wrapped. Wow, another $40 disc
The cost of these Blu rays has certainly gone up
Should we wait for the German disc

If this is the artwork, I dig it.
