Waxwork are putting out the score to the original, pre ordered the CD (I intensely dislike vinyl and it pisses me off that so many soundtracks only come out on that format). I did pick up their CD of the score to the 2nd movie a couple of years back, despite it sounding more like a bad synth score for a silent movie. It was certainly a great package if nothing else.

    Coming 2/25/25 from Anchor Bay.

Documentary about Gunnar Hansen, the actor who portrayed Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). Friends, colleagues, filmmakers, and fellow actors share personal stories and discuss the dichotomy between the maniacal chainsaw-wielding character he played on-screen and the very intelligent, creative, soft-spoken man he actually was in real life.

Odd that the classic The Shocking Truth documentary hasn't been ported over for the 50th. I haven't seen The Legacy doc. Is it worth upgrading or is everything covered by the many commentaries?

I always found this suspect in that two and a half months later he would be dead. It was ruled natural causes but who knows. Never heard anything else afterwards.

That new 'The Merchandise of The TCM' featurette is just somebody pointing and laughing saying 'You spent $300 on this merch, you dumb fuck!'. Never thought I'd live to see the day when Charlie Band is out-exploited on a title he used to own. Time to retire.

Only limited to 5000. That's 5000 people that probably need a good kicking.

I have that steelbook too, but there are sound problems. Every so often during the movie the sound goes out and quickly comes back. One of the documentaries on the bonus disc doesn't have chapters, so if you want to jump to a certain scene, you can't. I have 3 DVD versions of this movie, so I guess I can just watch one of the other versions that don't have sound problems.

Dark Sky still milking the shit out of this one. They might as well sell this without the film unless someone gives a shit about the two new extras.
