Saw that tape at a Blockbuster. That cover is awesome but I always suspected the film was bad and never gave it a rental.

Slasher // Video have confirmed they'll be releasing SATAN'S BLADE on BD. A quote at Latarnia:

"Jesíºs Terí¡n: Doing it on blu is a nightmare. Sony owns the copyright/patent so I have to go through them to get it set up & they're pretty strict. Great job on Bill's part for releasing some of CR's film on blu, that requires some patience //"

This is one I've never seen, opinions seem pretty divided but I have indeed seen some positive reviews. I'm usually pretty forgiving of low budget slashers from this era so I'll certainly be getting this.

So it's happening, Jesus posted this on FB and said that he's moving forward and working through Sony to get the Blu-ray made.

"Just saw the quote for a quantity of 1000 blu-ray...it is literally 6x more expensive that DVD replication. I'm going to take a huge chance & release Satan's Blade on Blu-Ray this summer. This blu will determine whether or not I release any other films on this format in the future //"
