2024? Friedkin clearly needs more time to work out how to fuck this up for people.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

I just finished watching The Exorcist III and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the first time I’ve seen the film and I’m glad I opted for the director’s cut. I really don’t mind the cut scenes being restored from vhs if that is the only way they can be presented but I really hope that film elements can be found and used in an upcoming release. I would gladly double
          dip on this one!

I guess they're screwed now, no rewrites for the foreseeable future.

But aren't test screenings filled with idiots off the street whose favourite film is FORREST GUMP? Not the best venue to judge a film's quality.

Cronenberg's description of the test screening of Videodrome is great. I guess the Legion cut of Exorcist III would have had a disastrous screening too.

Pre-order page up for a French UHD release, I'd expect an announcement for a domestic edition soon,

FFS, that director's cut better not be the only version on the disc. I'm going to be highly pissed of if I have to watch the version with shit cgi Captain Howdy faces superimposed on things...

I'm still pissed off that they did a cgi transformation on that jump cut where Karras gets possessed. I think the very first DVD had it in, but it's been changed ever since.

New book out on the original movie. It's by the author of Friedkin's biography, so lots of insights: https://www.amazon.com/Exorcist-Lega.../dp/0806541946
