Worth shelling out the money to see it in the theater or wait for video?

looks pretty entertaining, but sometimes (usually) trailers are deceiving. Most films I wait for the video, but I am trying to make the effort to go out to the theaters more often.
this one has received good reviews so far on rottentomatoes.

Great trailer: Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," animal masks, crossbows... can't go wrong with that.

I haven't been to the theater since SHUTTER ISLAND three years ago. I too would like to go more. A theater near me is having a midnight showing of VIDEODROME later this month; I'll definitely be there.

HOWEVER...cant see this movei being any good in todays movie making climate......nice trailer...shame about the movie...(as usual!!)

Worth shelling out the money to see it in the theater or wait for video?

Should have posted what I did last night here but just want to recommend seeing it in the theater. The crowd was really into the film and hadn't experienced that kind of collective energy in a long while from a horror film.

I didn't realize Barbara Crampton was in this, damn if she doesn't get more beautiful with age. Too bad she has a fairly small role. I mostly liked this well enough, a few things irritated me (won't detail them yet to avoid spoiling it). I was pretty sure I knew the big twist, it's telegraphed early - but there's a smaller twist late in the film that surprised me a little. There are some intense scenes but the truly creepy ones were little things, a brief glimpse of movement at the corner of the screen or in the shadows of a room. The main young woman character is the one we're supposed to pull for, and she's the only one that's even mildly likeable. The others range from irritating to hollow shells, even Crampton has to play hysterical and annoying. Still, it's got some scares and is pretty graphic at times. Not gonna top my list of horror films or anything but worth seeing I think.
