"When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror-obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend Amy in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray, "Dexter") is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing, and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, whose blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire."

Sequels to remakes tend to be slightly better than the remake and/or the sequel to the original as in the case with Hills Have Eyes part 2, TCM Beginning, and The Fly 2 was better than Return of the Fly ya' gotta' admit.

Sounds like the regular Fright Night but in Europe. European setting = not enough money to film in North America (minus Mexico). Jaime Murray is bonerific, though. I would love to wear her as a hat.

Sounds liek they remade the original part 2...but set it in Europe...

To be honest, cant see it being worse than the first remake...but the fact this is straight to DVD doesnt bode well I fear!!!

Also the fact none of the original remake cast are in this one....

Shame, the directors EL GRINGO with Scott Adkins and Christian Slater wasnt so bad....

Here's the press release and cover art...

                  “Fright Night 2: New Blood”

By day Gerri Dandridge is a sexy professor, but by night she transforms into a real-life vampire with an unquenchable thirst for human blood. So when a group of high school students travel abroad to study in Romania, they find themselves ensnared in Gerri's chilling web of lust and terror. Charley and “Evil” Ed must stop Gerri from drinking and bathing in the blood of a “new moon virgin,” which just so happens to be Charley's ex-girlfriend, Amy. They enlist help from Peter Vincent, the vampire hunting host of a reality show called "Fright Night," to drive a stake through Gerri's plan and save Amy from a fate far worse than death.

                    WEIRD,

seems this is NOT a sequel...just a retelling of the first in a different location.....

Instead of taking the usual direct-to-video sequel route of using the same story with minor variances here and there, the producers have decided that this should be an all-new remake. So Charlie is back to square one here. He's friends with Evil Ed (who was turned into a vampire in the 2011 film) and “Gerri” Dandridge is a woman this time. This isn't a continuation of 2011′s story. It's a retelling of it.
So they are playing it like PART 1 never existed....

Put it in perspective, At least its got traditional "scary" vampires and not twinkling teen vampires. It might be ok. I must admit though it reminds me of what they did with the sequel to 30 days of night, Dark days. That went straight to dvd as well. 30 days of night was a great vampire flick imo. The sequel was just meh!! The difference though was that Dark days at least was a continuation of the first.

"MEH" is too good for this movie!

                        Just finished watching it.....

Almost exactly the same story as the first remake..Yet moved to Romania setting....

Oh, and they changed the personalities of the cast.....Peter Vincent is a reality tv MONSTER HUNTER asshole in this.who is mean to his tv crew and loves strippers......he also cant act...His delivery of the line "Welcome to Fright Night ...for real" was embarrasingly bad....as was Evil Ed.....CHARLIE BREWSTER looked like a direct copy of GEORGE MCFLY from Back To The Future....and the acting was the same too!!!......shit, the original reboot was crap...but at least the acting was kinda there!!...

The ONLY plus points are its Romanian setting...and a little more nudity (from tattooed Romanain strippers...if that is your thing!!!)..The main actress gets naked..but neve get to see anything due to camera movement..

Overall, this remake was even MORE unecessary than the usual remake...simply because it didnt move the story forward in ANY way whatsoever....Not sure who made the decision to reboot the reboot...but I hope they are not working in film anymore!!!

Not worth wasting your time with....
