I disagree. The remake was marginally better than Jason X or Part 8.

Took me a while to see the remake but overall I liked it. I like 8 a lot, I think it's silly 80's fun and still part of the Paramount series. I do like the remake better than GOES TO HELL, X and FREDDY vs JASON. The Paramount films feel like one continuous series, the New Line films all feel like stand alone films.

I enjoyed the remake. Really the only of the Friday films I don't like are 3,when it is in 2d,and 7. The rest are fun.

Really? Because I thought it was the best thing to happen a limping-along franchise at the time. I love the F13th movies, but by that time, they needed to change things up. JGTH did that. Was it completely successful? No. Was it entertaining? Yes.

Even me who was so much against the format on another forum got one in the end... the reader are less costly than they were, mine that is region/zone free cost me less than 100$ three years ago.

I like it too, even saw it in a theatre... anyway except for Jason on a Cruise no Friday the 13th movies are unlikable in the original franchise.

Not saying it is a bad movie...Sure it was entertaining enough....but it (like JASON X) was NOT part of the franchise as far as I am concerned....It was part of some parallel universe Friday 13th....Entertaining though..

Also, I actually saw Jason Goes To Hell back when it was called THE HIDDEN!!!

I saw JGTH opening night in a packed theater and it was a blast. And I go back and rewatch it every other year or so.
