  • New Documentary - Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History Of Friday The 13th

From the Friday The 13th Franchise site:

"With a running time of approximately seven hours, Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th explores each film -- from the seminal 1980 slasher hit to the 2009 reboot, including the hit syndicated television series -- in chronological order, and promises to be the definitive retrospective on one of the most enduring horror franchises in motion picture history.

Writer/director Daniel Farrands says, "I'm very proud that my passion (and obsession) with all things Friday the 13th, which started when I was 12 years old, has finally come full circle. What started out as a pipe dream ten years ago when I first teamed up with Peter Bracke on his incredible book, has taken on a whole new life with our companion documentary. I hope fans will be as thrilled as we are with this epic look back on the Friday the 13th series."

Lots more at the link, including the notes that this is 7 hours long and will be Blu-ray only.

Could be very cool. Hope that it's at least as good as ELM STREET LEGACY.

This does sound potentially very cool. I love the book, it's amazingly in-depth and so attractively done.

Oh fuck, it's started! I will watch this on Netflix/Amazon. Physical media is dead!

Yeah the book is great! The old doc HIS NAME IS JASON is terrible, I was so disappointed when that came out. The book is all I need.

Meh. Though, I assume I will eventually have a next gen (read: current) gaming system (read: PS3), so buying it anyway isn't that bananas of a banana.

Casey doesn't have a Blu ray player? Ban his ass.

I couldn't stand that doc, as I've said elsewhere. What was Savini thinking?

I don't have a blu-ray player either, Paul. Or a tv. I watch everything on my PC. Last night I ate tuna out of a can. I'm sleeping on the floor. My clothes are in garbage bags.

At least Scott does the broke thing with style. Casey is just too lazy to get down to the Best Buy and plunk down for the Blu player.

Back to the serious I back all who commented on how bad that MY NAME IS JASON doc was. It sucked - thing was a fucking lollipop. I'm into this one if its half as good as the book.

The only good thing about My Name is Jason is it came with a $8 coupon that I used to see the Friday remake for free.

I disagree. The remake was marginally better than Jason X or Part 8.
