  • Prequel To The Shining In The Works - The Overlook Hotel

    From Deadline:

"EXCLUSIVE: Glen Mazzara, who ran AMC's smash hit series The Walking Dead for the past several seasons, will now focus on ghosts. He's in talks to write The Overlook Hotel, a prequel to the Stanley Kubrick-directed The Shining, based on the Stephen King novel. The film is being developed at Warner Bros to be produced by Mythology Entertainment's Bradley Fischer, James Vanderbilt and Laeta Kalogridis."

Mazzara also worked on THE WIRE, which is why i don't totally hate this. But there's a pretty good chance it's going to turn into something sucky.

Look on the bright side: it can't be worse than Stephen King's mini-series version of THE SHINING.

Did Stephen King really need the money? He must have some control over at least The Shining and can give permission on a new project, right? Seems so worthless.

My mom said Steve likes the new Bates Motel show.

I said, "How does he know? HE'S BLIND!"

She said, "Whatever. He's got a new book coming out."

Steave should stick to radio. We can't all be born pretty.

Maybe with the tv money, he could give Rochester a raise finally.

He's not to old to play young Steeph/Danny. They can do the Dorf thing.

Steaven turns the corner and there stands the ghosts of Grady's murdered twin girls. "Come play with us Stephen."

Steven who can't see shit and kinda smiling sez, "Ok."

Do you think Steeev went blind from jerking off? Or was it from radioactive waste? Maybe he could play Daredevil.

I pulled a Steave somewhere in Oklahoma and walked in to the woman's restroom in a truck stop.

Slightly on topic, is the prequel gonna be about Grady going through the same thing Jack did? Or are they gonna take it further back and explain the hotel? I sure hope they don't go with the indian burial ground thing.
