There's a whole lot of buzz going around about this movie right now...

    Bloody Disgusting says:

"Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Simon Barrett, the duo best known for A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S and the forthcoming V/H/S/2, “You're Next is one of the smartest and most terrifying films in years, one that reinvents the genre by putting a fresh twist on home-invasion horror. When a gang of masked, ax-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped…until an unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all.”

Sharni Vinson (the upcoming Patrick remake), Nick Tucci (Choose, Undocumented), Wendy Glenn (11-11-11), AJ Bowen (A Horrible Way to Die, The House of the Devil, The Signal), Joe Swanberg (A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S), Margaret Laney, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die), Ti West (The Roost, The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers), Calvin Reeder (V/H/S, The Rambler), Larry Fessenden (Habit, The Last Winter), Kate Lyn Sheil (V/H/S), Barbara Crampton (80′s fav who starred in Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak) and Rob Moran all star. Ian, you said in the thread for THE PURGE that that film reminded you of THE STRANGERS, but after seeing both trailers before EVIL DEAD Saturday, I think this is the film that resembles THE STRANGERS. Masked killers bumping off people in an isolated house. THE PURGE is about one night a year all crime is legal and people barricade themselves in their homes... this guy comes seeking help to Ethan Hawkes' house and soon a gang shows up wanting him. YOU'RE NEXT! looks much more like THE STRANGERS imo, though (and I know it's hard to judge from a trailer) this film - YOU'RE NEXT - looks much better than THE STRANGERS (which was filmed here by the way, though I'm not a fan they were very accommodating to the local paper which did on-set stories). Anyway, mainly just a long-winded way of saying YOU'RE NEXT looks pretty intense and I think I'll go see it, haha.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

Ha, yeah you could be right, Andrew, though I think both trailers show similarities.

There's a LOT of hype going around about this one right now. Time will tell if it comes close to living up to it.
