Obviously going for the full-on horror for this remake...which is strange because Raimi's original was improved A LOT by the "charm" of the movie...which was that it wasnt dead-serious in tone....

Once again, no need to call this EVIL DEAD if they are going for straight up horror...

Just watched the trailer again......

not sure, but it seems like they have made the demons (or possessed people) crawl around like SADAKO from RING.....If so, I think that may be a BIG mistake....and why is the demon at the end cutting her tongue???....Trying to show off how tough she is???????WTF happened to demons who just got on with their job of killing you instead of showboating....??

There's a bit of showboating from the demons in the first two Evil Dead movies if you think about it. Ash gets taunted a lot and then tend to toy with him a bit.

This looks like every bad modern supernatural horror movie with some blood thrown in, and The Evil Dead title thrown on. I'm really, really bummed about this one.
